Terms of Business
Last Updated 3rd August 2026
The terms of Business set out herein are the terms to be agreed for services provided by MiBM Locksmiths a Mobile Locksmith service
1. About these terms
These Terms of Service set out the basis on which MiBM Locksmiths provides mobile locksmith services to customers. By contacting us, requesting a quote, booking an appointment or allowing us to begin work, you agree to these terms.
2. Business information
MiBM Locksmiths is a mobile locksmith business operating in East Kent. You can contact us by telephone on 020 3744 6838, by Whatsapp on 020 3744 6838 or through the contact form on our website www.mibmlocksmiths.co.uk
3. Services we provide
We provide mobile locksmith services, which may include emergency lockouts, lock repairs, lock replacements, lock upgrades, uPVC door and work commercial and locksmith support. Services are subject to availability, location, safe access, parts availability and the nature of the work required. We do not do vehicle locks.
4. Quotes, estimates and pricing
We aim to provide clear pricing before work begins. Any quote or estimate given before attendance is based on the information you provide. The final price may change if the job differs from what was described, extra parts are needed, specialist work is required, access is more difficult than expected, or additional work is requested. We will explain any additional costs and ask for your approval before carrying out extra work.
5. Bookings, call-outs and attendance times
Appointment and emergency attendance times are estimates only. We will do our best to arrive within the stated time, but arrival may be affected by traffic, weather, previous jobs, parts availability or other circumstances outside our control. You must ensure that someone authorised is present at the agreed location and that safe access is available. There will be a callout fee. The fee will vary depending on the time of day. This will be paid via an electronic payment link and will be paid prior to making our way to the property. The call out payment will be acceptance of these terms herein.
6. Proof of identity and authority
For security reasons, we may ask you to provide reasonable proof that you are authorised to request work on the relevant property, vehicle, lock or premises. This may include photo identification, proof of address, tenancy documents, ownership documents, landlord or agent authorisation, business authorisation or other suitable evidence. We reserve the right to refuse or stop work if we are not satisfied that proper authority has been shown.
7. Customer responsibilities
You must provide accurate information about the lock, door, property or issue when requesting a quote or booking. You must also ensure that the work area is safe, reasonably accessible and free from hazards. If inaccurate information or unsafe conditions cause delays, extra costs or prevent the work from being completed, you may be charged for reasonable costs already incurred.
8. Payment
Payment is due on completion of the work unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept cash, card or bank transfer. We provide receipts or invoices electronically. If payment is not made when due, we may take reasonable steps to recover the debt, including seeking recovery of any lawful costs or interest.
9. Cancellations and emergency work
If you need to cancel or rearrange a booking, please contact us as soon as possible. For non-emergency bookings, an admin fee will usually apply if you cancel before we travel or incur costs. If you cancel after we have travelled, arrived, ordered parts specifically for your job or begun work, the callout fee and or any payment for parts becomes non refundable.
Where you are a consumer and a contract is made by phone, online or away from our business premises, you may have a statutory 14-day cancellation right. If you ask us to begin work during that cancellation period, you agree that we may charge you for work carried out and parts supplied up to the point of cancellation. For urgent or emergency work completed at your express request, your right to cancel may be limited once the service has been fully performed.
10. Parts, products and guarantees
Any parts supplied will be suitable for the agreed work unless we tell you otherwise. Manufacturer warranties may apply to parts. We also aim to carry out services with reasonable care and skill. If you believe there is a problem with our workmanship, please contact us promptly so we can assess the issue and, where appropriate, put it right.
11. Limits of liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or your statutory consumer rights. We are not responsible for loss or damage caused by inaccurate information supplied by you, pre-existing faults, defective or weakened doors, frames, locks, keys, mechanisms or fittings, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
12. Refusal or suspension of work
We may refuse, suspend or stop work where we reasonably believe the request is unlawful, unsafe, outside the scope of our insurance or expertise, or where satisfactory authority has not been provided. If this happens, we will explain the reason where it is appropriate and lawful to do so.
13. Complaints
If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, please contact us as soon as possible using the contact details above. Please include your name, contact details, job address, date of work and a clear description of the issue. We will review your complaint and aim to respond within a reasonable time.

We may collect and use your contact details, job details, payment information and any identification or authority evidence needed to provide our services, manage bookings, process payments, comply with legal obligations and protect against fraud or unlawful access requests. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer rights that apply.
